Playing for all the marbles.
In a town obsessed with football you would think that high school football would be a well-known event. Although State High football has quite the following, it maintains a relatively low profile compared to the bright lights and swarms of fans the big brother across the street has. Nestled in the heart of downtown, Memorial Field plays host to one of the most successful high school football programs in the state and a team ranked in the Top 50 of the Rivals High football rankings. A team that has gone 42-12 in the past 4 seasons can finally make its mark on the High School football world by winning their first PIAA AAAA State Championship when they take on La Salle High school tomorrow at 2 at Hershey Stadium.
The Penn State football season was one of the most dull 10(11)-2 seasons I can remember, the Flyers are playing bad, the Eagles will choke in the post season, and I dont know what to expect from the basketball team quite yet. So heres to you State High, you’re playing for all the sporting marbles I’ve got this year. We’ll start over with a new bag once the Capital One Bowl gets here.
